Metal Blade Records réédite en CDs, 45 tours et en digital Slave to the Scalpel, le premier album de 200 Stab Wounds. Originellement sorti en Novembre 2021 chez Maggot Stomp, celui-ci expose parfaitement ce qu’est le death metal selon la bande originaire de Cleveland. Un pavé renfermant neuf titres enregistrés au Bricktop Studios en compagnie d’Andy Nelson et masterisés par Brad Boatright (Audiosiege).

La lourdeur et la bestialité décrivent parfaitement 200 Stab Wounds. Fondé en 2019 à Cleveland, le quartet se veut être autant un hommage au death metal old-school des Cannibal Corpse, Dying Fetus ou autre Mortician que l’un des fers de lance de cette nouvelle scène death américaine bouillonnante. Après une flopée de singles, l’EP Piles Of Festering Decomposition (2020) et l’album Slave To The Scalpel (2021), 200 Stab Wounds revenait il y a quelques mois avec Masters Of Morbidity. Ce nouvel EP a été produit par Mark Lewis (The Black Dahlia Murder, Nile, Deicide, Krisiun, Whitechapel, Fallujah). Pour la suite, le groupe le promet : rendez-vous en 2024 avec un album !
