Le concept du dixième opus s’inspire du syndrome d’Ekbom, une maladie neurologique rare, connue sous le nom de « syndrome de la mort » ou Delusional Parasitosis, caractérisée par la conviction d’avoir une peau infestée d’insectes ou de parasites. Le nouvel opus succède à OBSCENE REPRESSED paru en 2020.

BENIGHTED est aujourd’hui composée du chanteur Julien Truchan, du guitariste Emmanuel Dalle, du bassiste Pierre Arnoux et du batteur Kevin Paradis. L’album voit la participation de plusieurs musiciens invités avec Oliver Peters (ARCHSPIRE) sur « Nothing Left To Fear » et Xavier Chevalier (BLOCKHEADS) sur « Fame of the Grotesque ».
